#2 Demons take on #7 HBU on Wednesday.
Amazingly, with as many SLC titles as we have, NSU has NEVER won the SLC tournament. Could this be there year?! I like our chances on a neutral site.
As everyone knows, you gotta win that first game to set the tone and not dig your hole too deep.

Well, we have a legit shot at making the championship game, but we can't take HBU for granted and we will need stellar pitching from #2 (J.Oller) and #3 (Stovall) and their closers (Smith, Duvic, Stand and Hymel) to weave our way through the rest of the teams on our side. Then what? Who is left to pitch the championship game? We need that fourth pitcher to show up to win it, which would be our midweek guy and we haven't had much success there this year. But, we can do it! I believe we can, at least. Just have to be focused.

So do you gamble and save a weekend starter? Hoping we can make it through HBU?

Absolutely not. Not only is it a dangerous move, it shows total disrespect for your opponent and could backfire by motivating them even more. We just have to hope Oller, Oller and Stovall get good enough offensive support to pitch 4-6 innings each and hope they can each pull a couple innings each in the championship game, if needed.

Central Arkansas knocked off Nicholls 7-6 earlier which doesn't surprise me too much.

Our #2 seeding and our ace pitcher are, thus far, being bested by #7 seed HBU and their ace pitcher. Our bats are basically nonexistent.

There ace has a nasty curve and our hitters seem like they can't find it.
horrible crowd at the game, pretty empty (maybe 50 people)

Two errors and being outhit in double-fashion. Pardon the pun. It's the same old baseball tournament recipe for us thus far. I'm out. I have other things to do. Be back by football season.

Right Fielder misjudged the ball, triple, HBU now up 4-1 in the 8th. 2 runs in due to mistakes.
On the plus side,we have had comebacks before so don't count em out yet

Demons Fall 4-1. Same ole same ole in the conference tourney. We get to try and keep our season alive tomorrow morning at 9am against Nicholls.
They really need to stop having our conference tourney's on neutral sites. The attendance is embarrassing in a stadium that size.

Same ol' baseball conference tournament monkey on our back. I'm not sure why we can't seem to have any kind of success in the tournament. As the write-ups and announcers eluded to, we have three NCAA appearances and numerous regular season titles but ZERO conference tournament titles.
