Peveto team would've cashed in at half. This is what Jay Thomas bring us, a team that never quits.

Ed Eagan has completely gone ham and broke Nathan Black's single game receiving record.

Tough loss, agree with Netherton that the last play was PI not called on McNeese.
Really great to see the team fight back, under Peveto this would have been a 40+ point loss.
Excited for the future

My glasses are purple tinted but I think they got away with that one…It was a crucial play and therefore we have no chance of getting a flag thrown in our favor.

Guys your team played their hearts out tonight and you should be proud of them. There is not much difference between this game versus McNeese and McNeese getting beat by Nebraska. I can't say if McNeese will win more than one or two more games this year. We lost a couple of Offensive Linemen tonight and Daniel Sams was already hurt. Kelvin Bennett was pulled out of the game. We are hurting! I don't know who gets All SLC at QB but Zac Adkins deserves his shot at it. He was on fire the second half. Now I know how your team beat Sam. pruitt1997

You all are so right. Peveto's teams would have folded and the final score would have been 59-10. I just hate we came out so jacked up we hurt ourselves. But, then again, that fire might have been what gave us the fuel to come back last night. McNeese was the better team. But, that gap is closing and we will shake the Cowboy curse sooner than later. I think if McNeese can find a way to get healthy, they might be able to win a playoff game or two. If not, they are one and done. In fact, no team in the Southland is scaring those in the CAA, MVFC or Big Sky. But, I am thankful we were able to sit in a beautiful stadium on a beautiful night and watch a fun sport in freedom. There is a bigger picture to life than sports. Moving forward. Good luck to Pokes from here on out.

Buddy of mine (Northern Iowa fan) has seen us play SLU and McNeese this year and said he saw those teams as being pretty equal (avg passing QB's, great defenses, great team speed and solid running games). He also said NSU is quite a bit better this year than last year and especially better than under Peveto, but that we have been our own worst enemy, still, with turnovers and careless mistakes (penalties due to uncontrolled emotions). He said we're just not quite at that place where we have the ability to shake off "mistakes and injuries" and still win games. In other words, great teams overcome injuries and mistakes ... improving teams don't always recover. He thinks we still have work to do, but thinks Jay Thomas is the right guy for the job and without the efforts from our Seniors this particular season, we wouldn't be climbing out of this decade-long hole we've been in.

Crazy to me how we do so much with so little, I didn't realize this last night and for some reason its slipped my mind all season but there are a TON of freshmen playing this year. Two true freshmen on the offensive line last night, Guidry at LB, Green at RB, Josh Robets DT (although he's added to that huge injury list) Chase Hawthorne at TE….along with numerous redshirt freshmen and sophomores. Building that depth is crucial and we seem to be on the right track to doing that, just gotta hope our guys stay healthy.
