My wife and I will be traveling from Atlanta, Tx to watch the game...well, more so to watch the SoN at halftime, but I'm hopeful we'll put up a respectable fight!
Considering the weapons y'all have on offense and our lacking on the D-line and secondary I would be happy to keep it within 21-28 pts.
I know I'll get blasted but I'm just trying to have reasonable expectations based on where our program is at this point.

The odds are surely stacked against us and they are very good, but we have a good enough team to win this game. This isn't Baylor we're playing where we're so outmatched there is NO chance to win. It's an in-state rival, not wearing purple and gold, which means it's a winnable game IF we play well. Any given Saturday!!!

I would certainly like our chances if this years team played last years tech team. We have just given up way too many big plays as DT said for me to feel good about saturday.

Not much of a rivalry these days as we haven't played since 1994...I'd rather get a SLC win to secure a play-off spot.

Will the NSU group be sitting on the east side? We're off this week and going to your game against Tech seems like a good idea.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Tech game. Tech is a good but beatable team. If this was the 98 or 01 Demons I would have no problem feeling very confident about this game. The problem with the program right now is that we haven't yet been able to get over the hump. Has to happen eventually so hopefully this will be the week the break out.
I do wish the Tech message board guys would be more like the Tech fans I met at the Texas A&M-Tech game as opposed to the extreme arrogance some of them display over there. Have had nothing but good experiences with Tech fans in general. Wore an NSU shirt to the Tech-aTm game in Shreveport and had many Tech fans wishing the Demons well and mentioning the rivalry and showed a lot of respect to NSU (same thing with their guys in the ticket office) Nothing but respect for the Tech program from me. Hope we can bring our A game.
Wish I didn't work or I would definitely be there.

CUSA relaxed a rule so we could move the visiting teams back to the east side this year

The game will come down to this.......Tech takes a while to get started. If NSU can jump out to a 14-0 lead, the game will be tight. If not, it wont be.

Geaux Dawgs -- that is a very fair summation. Kudos to you for being classy, yet honest.

Y'all come find me at the TAG tailgate, I will be the one grilling under the huge red, white, and blue tent while watching college football all day. We are located in the parking lot behind the big jumbotron. North of the field. Looking forward to meeting some Demons!!!! I may have a beer and some food for y'all!!

After how the Southern and Missouri State game went, we would have to get out to a much faster start than 14-0. Which barring a complete meltdown on the part of tech, won't happen.

Massey's Ratings Service has La Tech a 17.5 favorite and predicted to win, 39-21. Sagarin has about a 20 point spread between the two. That's about right. I'd love to win this game, but I'm more interested in continuing to improve and do some damage in conference. I do think we have a pretty salty offense. We will be even better if we can get our running game going. Defense ... well, they were lights out for 2.5 quarters against Missouri State and Southern. Not so good after that in each game. Can't count the Baylor game because they're significantly better than 95 percent of the football teams in FBS. We'll see what happens. I know we won't be intimidated and I think we're headed the right direction for the program. This game will be a sturdy test of the team's mettle, though.
