Only thing I can really object to is Zach Adkins not getting second team.

Bennett(SLU), Berry(LU), and Adkins all had similar passing stats in 2013. Berry did have more TD's than the other two, but Adkins & Bennett both had 21 TD's with Bennett playing in 2 more games. Last year against Lamar I thought Adkins probably outplayed Bennett but who knows. I'm more than happy having Adkins calling signals for the Demons.
I feel like Douglas could be one of the best offensive lineman in the conference. I loved what I saw last year from him and he obviously had a solid spring. I'm excited to see what Eagan is capable of with a full year of WR under his belt. He is a true game changer and I'm sure we will get him as many touches as possible.
I think the defense could be as could as its been in a decade, and having 3 voted on 1st team & 2 on the 2nd team shows a lot. I feel like Adam Jones will be receiving a lot more awards throughout his career as a Demon. The Purple Swarm is back!

Berry has been in the league longer. He's going to get the nod from the suits. Frankly, preseason acknowledgements and predictions mean nothing. We want the postseason acknowledgements filled with our players. That's where it truly matters. For the record, I do think we're going to be very much improved over last year. Our DL has a chance to be the best in the conference, if not one of the best in the nation. Our OL has the chance to be among the best in the conference. Adkins obviously has the talent to be a difference maker like Bennett and Berry. WR and TE are stacked. RB has a huge upside in depth and talented young players. DB's are going to be very solid and back to the type of talent we're used to having at that position. The only question mark on the whole team is at LB. We're a bit light in the britches there. That being said, our depth and speed at LB is the best it has been in awhile. I'm not saying we're going to win the SLC, by any means. We very well could finish in the middle of the pack, as predicted. But, whoever beats us, save Baylor, best pack a healthy lunch because we're going to be athletic and physical. When we walk on the field, we won't look like an FCS team. All of this hinges on Adkins staying healthy, of course. Not saying the guys behind him aren't good, but I'm just not sure they're ready.

Great points purplestorm. I really think that the season depends greatly on whether the juco LBs and Db we signed can make an immediate impact.

I also fully agree with you purplestorm. We won't have an opponent looking forward to playing us after watching film. The depth and quality upfront on defense is incredible. I feel like we have a good group of LB's esp since we added the JUCO guys, but it will be interesting to see how that position plays out during camp. I've heard high praises for Mario Chapmon last year and that he would've started and helped a lot.

The true sign of how we'll be at LB will be IF Adam Jones is moved to Safety. If he is, that means we're better than expected at LB. If not, we need him at LB. Either way, we'll be better. Jones is clocking in at 6'2"-212lbs right now, I understand. If he moves to Safety, lookout. Marion Chapman is a difference maker, I'm hearing. Our 9-10 deep at LB should be Chapman, Roussel, A. Jones (if he doesn't move), Sellers, Hanson, Calhoun, Cook, Allen, Graham and Ross. Depending on packages and since we are SO very deep at DE, it would not surprise me to see two LB's in the game a lot with either an extra safety or DE depending on the defensive play or plays called. We are the deepest I have ever seen us at DE with Broadway, Armstrong, Marshall, Evans, Lee, Harmon, S. Bush and Cryer. That doesn't count Clark, the true freshman. We'll be stout inside, too with Simon, Medcafe, Bletsch, Wheeler, Roberts, Drumgo, Z. Bush and Paul. DB's speak for themselves. We're deep, deep at corner with Claiborne, Thomas, Albert, Yarbor, Walker, Grimble, McClendon and Mobley. Safeties, depending on A. Jones, are still going to be fine with Joseph, Myers, Turner, Poullard, Collins, Van Buren, Mukes, Barnes and Lacey. We're stacked like pancakes on defense. Fellas, it's all about the QB and always will be. If Adkins shows up, we will be a force. Guaranteed. Let's hope he stays healthy.

Adam Jones is a safety. We played a 4-2-5 the majority of the year last year with Adam Jones being that hybrid safety spot that plays up near the line like a LB. But he is definitely a safety

Also have to keep in mind that we have a different defensive coordinator this season. To be honest it was amazing what we did last year with how thin we were at LB. If Hansen, Chapman, and Allen can jump in right away we should be salty with our front 7.
