LSU 8 SLU 4. Southeastern should have won this one. Can't make errors and leave men on 2nd and 3rd in a regional at LSU and expect to win.
Sam Houston 2 Dallas Baptist 1. Solid win for the Kats. Pulling for them and wouldn't be surprised to see them go to a super.
Jackson State 1 UL-Lafayette 0. Kind of shocked by this one. ______________________________________________________________________________________

Update: SLU 2 Bryant 1
Really impressed with the way SLU keeps battling this post season. Good showing by them. Going to be tough to knock off Houston and near impossible to knock off LSU twice.
TCU 3 Sam Houston 2 (22 innings)
Awesome game. Sam Houston fans will try to claim that the umps cheated them but they didn't. Sam had the bases load with one out in the bottom of the 21st. Sam hit a bloop into center field, the runner at second was forced out. During the play the Sam Houston runner purposely slid into the TCU shortstop. Official immediately called obstruction, end of the inning. Sadly, had the runner not been stupid the TCU fielder wouldn't have had time to complete the throw to first and Sam would have won. Still, great showing from Sam.
LSU 5 Houston 1
Nola was Nola and LSU is on a roll.
ULL 9 San Diego State 2
ULL bats woke up. Have a Jackson State team that is playing above themselves right now. Miss St going to be a tough team to beat twice if ULL knocks out JSU.

ULL advances, knocks off Miss St 5-3.
Got to give credit to the Cajuns, really a fun team to watch play and they were a class act all regionals.
Will definitely be pulling for the Cajuns the rest of the way. Can't say enough good things about them or their fans, who really supported them the entire weekend. ULL stepped up and my hats off to them.
LSU got bombed by Houston 12-2 which made me smile. Hated the way the local (shreveport) media was kicking us when we were down after LSU bombed us so I was very happy to see LSU get bombed in the box.
Also funny because LSU's starting pitcher promised a victory and didn't get out of the first inning.
Go Cajuns

Don't know how that happened. haha Hope the Cajuns can pull out the win this weekend. I thing the regional round proved that the "mid-majors" are definitely just as good as the big boys this weekend. Should the Cajuns make a deep run (or win) in Omaha it would send a pretty loud message to the rest of the college baseball world. Gotta admit, I was totally won over by the Cajuns this weekend. My proudest non-track moment as a Demon fan was towards the end of the semi-final loss the UMASS when the entire stadium started chanting NSU. I always like when fan bases cheer and support their teams even when things don't go well. I was impressed that the Cajun fans really rallied behind their team. Didn't here them booing or grumbling, just cheering their butts off. Combined with a great experience at the New Orleans bowl nothing but respect for our brothers to the south. Hope our baseball teams can continue to make some strides so that we can join them in the regional round next year. I still believe that the 2002 Demon team that went 43-17 and got screwed by the NCAA selection committee would have made a run to Omaha. I also believe that the Demons getting screwed over year after year is what helped start our downfall. I think a case could be made that the 98,99 and 01 teams should have been in the regional. You have to wonder what our program would have done had we been to the 4 regionals in 5 years that we deserved to go to. With the talent we had back then we could have very easily made it to Omaha, which would have put our program on a different level.

Ha, no worries. I actually try to pull for the Cajuns. I went to school there for a year and a half before transferring to NSU, so I know that there are good people there and that is a great institution. The few trolls that are bad apples do spoil it for me sometimes, but I will be pulling for them to do well rest of the way.

One thing I do know is that they are fighting the same battle that we are with the powers that be in Baton Rouge. And they tend to dislike Tech, which makes them OK in my book

It's kinda odd you bring up that 2002 team...that was a DAMN good team and we had a couple stud pitchers (Jeremy Ogea sp?) and we were in the Top 10 for fielding % that whole year.
I don't know about making it to Omaha but that was a team that deserved to be playing in a regional and possibly could have won a regional. Not sure how a team with 43 wins, wins their conference and makes it to the SLC champ. game before being eliminated by Lamar, a team with a few NCAA appearances as well, doesn't get an at-large bid. A travesty and one of the better teams we've had, IMO, better than the 2005 team that was in the LSU regional.
