Well, we're just not very dadgum good and ain't too much more can be said about that. We just got whupped by a one-win team at home. I reckon I'm gonna need two servings of nanner puddin' tonight.

Today, McNeese made us one dimensional and the continued Achilles Heel of the team falls back to the QB position. McNeese took away the run game which is a credit to them because if you go back and look at last week we had a decent run game that setup the pass. This was a pretty clean game, hardly any flags thrown but our O-Line has serious pass protection issues. McNeese was a balanced offense and we could do nothing to keep up with that. Another recipe for disaster is when the opponent spends over 10 minutes more than you on the field. This was the case in the UT-Martin game and why we weren't successful. I still feel that there is plenty of talent on this roster, but we can't put it together week after week. On to the next one, it only gets harder from here. A strong suggestion would be to keep Clement in at QB and allow him to take his lumps now.

If that QB from Lafayette is the future then put him in there and let him get boogered up a bit this season. It'll make him better for next year. This season is lost anyhow. We might win two games, so every player that's halfway trying would ride the pine and I'd play those who want to play next year.

Every time Clement went in the game, the home side exploded with cheers. It is time that Coaches Laird and Smiley quit being hardheaded and realize that he is our best option going forward. I'm glad Kaleb Fletcher got several opportunities to lead the team, but the show is over and the season is lost. Now, with a fifth fewer players on the roster and loads of underclassman in the lineup, its time to turn Clement loose and see what he can do. I would definitely not burn any redshirts. We'll see Barton and Cotton in spring ball. Let's at least win one or two more, before the season ends.

Clement is starting this week against SLU. We did the exact same thing in the spring and finally put Rivers in the starting lineup in game 5. Almost beat Sam Houston and beat Incarnate Word the following week. I just don't understand why we never gave the transfer from San Diego State even one snap in the first three games and he left.

I agree that Salazar should have gotten a look. Now he's back in the transfer portal. He could have been the bridge QB to the freshmen that we have. Maybe the coaches know something that we don't know.

Until the fans in the stands get tired of watching a losing team, there will be no changes. Coaches always say wait until next year. How many years have we heard this?

Until the fans in the stands get tired of watching a losing team, there will be no changes. Coaches always say wait until next year. How many years have we heard this? I have no idea what this means. Please help me understand how the fans in the stands have any say in this situation. Only those in a position to hire/fire or those contributing major money have any influence with the athletic administration. I've heard my whole life that money talks, and I understand to a degree what that means, but in this case there isn't much around and it doesn't matter.
