HBU is a team we can beat if we play well. Demons must get up on the right foot.
Saw a lot of encouraging things against LSU. Need to build upon those and turn this thing around

Need to build upon those and turn this thing around Must run the football. If we do, our passing game is even more effective and it limits their offense’s opportunities. Plus scoring and controlling the clock may make them press a little too.

HBU can score a lot of points and it seems like they have definitely improved from last year. This will be a tough test, like I’ve mentioned the entire conference has improved and unless we do as well we are looking at a long season. 1st half of UTM and LSU play will win us some games but as mentioned before our running game has to carry more of the load and take pressure of Eppler.

This is a must win or we'll likely start the season 0-7. Looking good for one-half means nothing. Gotta have 60 mins of production or we lose many-to-most of the games left on the schedule. Then we're discussing the same "woulda, shoulda, coulda" scenarios at the end of the season that we've been chewing on for over a decade. The gimmes on the schedule were supposed to be Weeks One and Two. All the rest are peer teams with equal or better talent on paper. I know everyone is trying hard, but it's not equaling success yet. Even so, I'll be following this week, but I'm keeping my hopes at a bare minimum. HBU is not a team we should disrespect or underestimate.

Demons starting to settle. Can’t get the offense going though.

Settle? We're getting our butts kicked thus far. Their RB has rushed six times for 84 yards. We're listless and our offensive play calling is just odd. Third and seven and we pass for two yards? I don't get it. I'm not a football coach, though. HBU defense is awful, by the way. Their offense is better than ours on paper. Unless we wake up, it's going to be a LONG night, a LONG ride home and a LONG season because SLU, Nicholls and UCA await.

Goodness gracious, are we gonna win a game?

I think we all need to accept that our football team and program is nowhere near where we want it to be. In fact, it's far, far from where we want it to be. So, we have two choices -- be patient or be stressed. If I keep following this game, I'll get stressed. So, I'm going to be patient and go and watch UGA vs. ND. I refuse to let this ruin my night. Later boys.

Gonna do what I can to remain patient, but does anyone know what is going on with Hayden Bourgeois, our All-American Safety?

I was wondering that same thing since game two. Nowhere to be seen. Still on the roster, though.

A dropped TD by Gumms and then on the next play, a pick! Geez!

We don't want it bad enough yet. When you want it BADLY, you don't drop those passes.

Cajundemon11, thanks for the update! Man, that's a tough loss. He's really missed on the defense.
