Looks like a solid class. Really excited to see we got Clement, QB from LCA. I can see him being a steal. Very athletic, leader and has nice touch on the ball.

I went to the luncheon and was really impressed with our recruiting this year. I know that sometimes (more times than not) the recruiting class won't really show much impact and help for a year or so, but this year there has a different feel. There appears to be some skill position guys and older transfers that can make impact more quickly than in years past. If you add that in with what we already have in the fold and we should be able to stun some folks in the conference this year. Having said that, I have to pinch myself and remember just how much parity there is in our conference. Truly, on any give Saturday (or Thursday) any team can upset or defeat a proven opponent, but this class could be a pivotal group that could help us take the big leap to championship football. If not this year, this group will probably mature to that point by their junior years. One more group like this, next year, and we will be beyond salty; we'll be pungent. Get out your party hats boys, the jig is about to be up for Sam, UCA, and the like.

I just want to be competitive against those guys again. We’ll find out in a few years if these guys work out, but I definitely have a great feeling about our trajectory.

I used to get excited about recruiting day but after years of touting up recruiting classes and then the lack of results I agree with Cajundemon...I just want to be competitive against the top teams of the conference.
If nicholls can do it, anyone can.
