Wasn’t expecting a win but we seem to be regressing while a lot of other teams in the league are improving. Disappointing game tonight. Does seem like ever since the Lamar game we just can't get anything going. Of course as the season progresses all the other teams in the SLC are improving...at least all of them but us. Disappointing when you see UIW spank McNeese and Lamar spank Sam...anyone in the SLC can beat anybody...except for NSU. We can only beat Lamar, barely.

The conference as a whole is elevating its game. It's not just Sam and UCA rolling through everyone anymore. Incarnate Word is actually good, Nicholls is in that top tier, ACU is improving every week and just annihilated SLU at their place after beating Nicholls at home. McNeese, Sam, and UCA are up there in that top level. Just seems like we got left behind with SFA and HBU at this point. We can still finish this year strong and who knows maybe play with McNeese and keep the chief, but these next couple years are going to be critical in matching the play and rate of improvement with our conference brethren.

I'm not saying it's an "excuse" but it seems like every season we hear about all these injuries, especially in the OL and DL positions, and how it effects our game...that's a given. But it seems like NSU deals with game changing injuries more than any other SLC team...on a yearly basis.
Has anyone else noticed this trend for the past 5+ seasons? Or is it just me.

DTNSU, your point should be well taken. Let's take a look into that training room and see if our trainer is the issue or if its the facility. It could be the key to getting our guys back to the top.
For as long as I can remember we've lost a key guy and we don't have that ability. Imagine our offense if we lost Jazz or Quan? or Jazz AND Quan? Let's not talk about that.
Why don't we feed Jazz the ball WAY more? I'm talking about we get him the ball in a number of ways and when he gets tired, we get it in Quan's hands.
We need to score points because while I see what we are trying to do, not sure our mentality the last several years is suitable for a physical defense.
On a bright note, we have Houston Baptist!!
