Well another ranked foe lies in wait for NSU this week in Conway. I have made this journey a couple times and its always been my favorite away game we play. Hard to figure out Uca and I honestly know nothing about them other than they along with us, had a head coaching change. They beat Slu by 8 in hammond, lost at sam in overtime and beat SFA on the road last week. Really hope we can iron out some pass protection issues, penalties, and missing some gap assignments on defense or the bears will have a big night at home.

We've beat UCA maybe twice since they entered the SLC...this season will continue their trend of dominance.

Central Arkansas scares me for some reason. On paper we should be able to hang with them. Just have s feeling this may end up being our “bad” game.
I feel like we are our worst enemy at times. Hopefully we can play well and eliminate some mistakes.

Demons off to a rough start and trail late in the first quarter, 21-0. Ouch!

Not a good game. ICA controlled from the start and Demons could never recover.
Did not see Lamar beating Sam or UIW blowing out McNeese

Wasn’t expecting a win but we seem to be regressing while a lot of other teams in the league are improving. Disappointing game tonight.

Demons didn’t have Eppler available for the game and Holgorsen went down early. Playing a 3rd-string QB almost the whole way...

While I can certainly understand a dip in offensive output and points with Eppler not making the trip, we looked completely overmatched on defense.

You’d probably look a little overmatched defensively if you were missing 5 defensive linemen. The entire second group was freshman: three true freshmen and one redshirt freshman. So yeah, gonna be tough to be at your best when you’re faced with that scenario. Injuries are killing this team

UCA after yesterday’s results is emerging as the best team in the Southland so there’s that too.

So yeah, gonna be tough to be at your best when you’re faced with that scenario. Injuries are killing this team Who exactly were the starting freshmen on defense? I’m confused because I see Krolzk, Whitley, Obi, and Jackson all played minutes and had tackles. Did they get hurt during the game? They’re not freshmen. And I’m sorry, I hate being negative, it’s just that we hear this every fcking year and I’m sick of it. I’m sick of getting ran out of stadiums. So we have injuries, everyone else does. It’s called depth, and we don’t have it. We are mismatched. Plain and simple. It’s heading in the right direction, I’m okay with the effort and the fact we are year one in this I’m just stating a fact that teams are having their way with us on the defensive end. Glad some freshmen are getting playing time but some guys are going to have to step up because giving up 9+ yards a play in the first half is not going to cut it.

As I said, the entire SECOND line was freshmen. Not to mention you have three starting DL missing (Prejean, Daigle, Sangster) which means Krolo has had to play out of position. Then behind Krolo, Thompson (a soph who hasn't been a starter until Sangster's injury), Jackson and Obi you have four freshmen. It would be great if the older guys could play all the minutes but it just isn't feasible, so you have youngsters who should be redshirting this year forced to play. Even full strength we might not beat UCA, but it would have been fun to watch that happen
