I hope we can get better in this department. Looking at the stats from last year to this already early year in the strikeout department. The Demons were ranked 285 out of 295 D1 Schools in most K's per game as a team. The Demons struck out 531 times last year while their opponents only K'd 291 times. They had 9.8 strikeouts per game and are currently at a 9.5 clip this year. Opposing pitchers look at us as a stat builder for themselves. I hope the approach at the plate get's better especially with 2 strikes. I really want to see this team shine!

17 K's in last nights game against Tech and we still won. At some point that's going to bite us in the ass not putting balls in play. UALR has some power arms, anybody want to bet an over/under bet of 13.5? I'll take over with our swings right now.

Nothing has changed 14 games into the season. 147 K’s that puts us at 10.5 per game. There seems to be very little situational hitting. It’s swing for the fences most of the time and no. 2 strike approach. If half of the k’s would have resulted in balls put in play each batter would easily add .050 to their batting average and run production would increase also.
