Not to argue, and those are certainly very solid picks, It just seems like Lamar is always picked ahead of us and we have beaten them 3 straight years. Seems like the are always the "dark horse" and yet can never break through.

I don't recall Lamar ever being the darkhorse other than maybe year 2 when they had all those JC guys and picked up the big OL from Arkansas.

They've still been picked ahead of us since they've joined and we've still beaten them. They are 5 years old, but have beaten other conference members. They are in the most fertile recruiting ground and have the best facilities. They should be better. Go look at the past 2 years of pre-season southland discussion on AGS, its always that they are "next to make a run" and going to "surprise everyone"…Im just saying everyone is so high on them yet they never can prove it on the field.

I think they are getting better and finally starting to settle in after going for the quick fix out of the gate. Regardless, I didn't pick them in the top 4 and have gone back and forth between them and NW for the 5 spot. I just happen to think they're a little stronger than NW even though NW did beat them last year. We will see how it plays out during the season.

They could very well be, obviously all we can do is speculate. And unfortunately we don't play them this year.

I agree with both polls...more logical as to the landscape of our conference.
