Demons get an awesome pitching job by Oller and a fantastic offensive performance taking down the formerly ranked Bearkats 12-1!
Sam is kinda hard to figure out. They were ranked throughout most of the pre-SLC schedule. They got swept in Conway by UCA last weekend, then beat No. 8 Texas A&M this past week...

Taking 2 or 3 from Sam IN Huntsville would be huge.

That's 3 series wins so far! We had ZERO last season! We may not have the mid-week starters to compete with the Louisiana-Lafayettes, LSUs, Miss. States yet but conference play is where is really counts!
Can't wait for Burroughs and staff to REALLY get this train going!

I think that is a pretty fair read. We have pitching that gets us through the weekend, but still have to kind of piece it together at times. The true Freshman Oller has been unreal since moving into a weekend starter position. We have been all over the place on Saturday with pitching, then on Sunday's we have pieced things together and been successful. The last couple of weekends with another true Freshman Austin Tanner who reminds me of a pitcher that we had around 2000-02 named Zach Sanches, kept teams out of synch with his off speed and breaking stuff. He gives way to Senior Steven Spann who has been very good. Outside of maybe Cort Brinson in the middle of the line up, we haven't been lead by any one player offensively, it has been a take turns coming up with the big hit. We also have reached base 50 times through yesterday's game by the HBP route. That's like two more singles per game, which bottom line is getting on base. Comments about letting Burroughs and staff get going, you are right. Future recruiting classes already looking great, continuing bring in Freshmen and accenting with JuCo players in slots where they need the help. Still a long way to go and I don't expect championships right away, but the bleeding has stopped and the foundation is set.

I am very impressed with the team. Last few seasons we seemed to struggle quite badly after losses. This year the team has rebounded and put together a decent season. Really glad to see the ship starting to right itself.
I do wonder what they program would be like now had the NCAA not consistently screwed over NSU in the 90's.
