I heard a little of Tim Fletcher's show this morning while driving in to work. He was interviewing the LA Tech AD. Talking about the women's head coach job Fletcher brought up the Storrs. The AD, of course, dodged the question but what really annoys me is the assumption that somehow the job at Tech is so much better than NSU that any coach would just jump to leave us and go to Tech. I know that as far as Tim Fletcher is concerned the only two schools that exist are Tech and LSU which is a whole other issue but he is a symptom of this whole superior thing that is just getting out of hand.

Yea...I'm done with Fletch. The ShreveportTimes is also doing a fabulous job of writing stories about Tech left and right...most of which are redundant. They didn't bother to cover our loss to Tennessee but made sure to put the Tim Fletcher story about Mike White and some stupid story about one of their track athletes.
One thing's for sure...the Shreveport media is doing their BEST to cover Tech, even when there's nothing to cover.

I don't know how bad this is in other states, Texas doesn't seem to be that bad...but it's especially frustrating in Louisiana. The big dog is gonna eat, and LSU will never be dethroned. No one on here to my knowledge is an LSU fan, but their success doesn't bother me, if they lose its whatever. Don't really care, although I do root for the SEC for regional pride. I get sick of LSU like anyone else. The other FBS schools and their fans are some of the most arrogant assholes I've ever met. I guess being "FBS" and knowing that they will never be anything bigger than Sun belt/Cusa and having LSU not give them any respect drives that stick way up their ass. I don't get it, but then again I'm a "live and let live" type of person. I just want to say I'm glad we are FCS and that our fans have some level of respect for our state brethren. We talk some shit when we can back it up, but feel like we are level headed for the most part. Maybe thats just my experience, I don't know. Ha, I'm sure some Nicholls fans would disagree  |

The problem with Shreveport is that you have LaTech graduates that work in the media and have an agenda. I can't tell you how many irrelevant stories I've seen on The Times website the past few months. They'll publish a story and then publish the exact some story, but with a different title. They didn't cover our loss in the tournament, but they made sure to cover our loss to Louisiana-Lafayette last night.
They also refuse to give us our own tab...LSU, rightfully so, has their own tab but so does Tech. Apparently we've been asking for years but they won't do it...trying to artificially create some sort of "separation"...as I type this our softball team is up on the Lady Techsters.
