2015 all over again. Went into the Bye week winless. First game back is a home game. This time its against a Division II opponent who has nothing to lose. I think I speak for the fan base (or whats left of it) when I say I don't want to see anything less than a a$$kicking on these guys. No conservative BS, no running the ball the entire damn game. Please score some points for Christ sake! If we cannot produce offensively against this team then I think we have to go another way offensively (coordinator). 27 ppg last season and 15.5 ppg this season... I mean its no debate dude. Get rid of that guy...

Totally agree. This should be one of those "Leave no doubt Herman, run it up" type of games. Anything less than a decisive win should be seen as a massive failure.
Kentucky Weslyan is 1-4 and not exactly a D2 power.

I remember saying before the Incarnate Word game, "I'll be happy if we win by 20+". I'm going into this game with absolutely no expectations. I honestly probably won't even check the score until late Saturday evening.
It is a sad state of affairs that our football program is in.

Listening to Patrick via the broadcast, sounds like we kind of floundered there in the second on both sides but have picked it up in the third. One thing that is somewhat encouraging is that I'm hearing names of a lot of younger players.

First game I've made all year. The weather was absolutely stunning, tailgating was very nice, the purple seats are wonderful, we had a nice crowd for playing a relatively unknown D2 opponent from Kentucky (not outside the region, but not like playing D2 teams from TX, AR or MS) and the all-purple uniforms and helmets were as sharp as I've ever seen us look. We looked good in the first quarter, flat in the second quarter, not quite as flat, but still flat, halfway through the third quarter and then we played again like the first quarter to finish up the game. I have no idea what to expect the rest of the season, but I know that game days like Saturday -- superb weather, decent crowd and a win -- are like medicine for sports. Does it mean anything in real life? Meh, maybe a little, but not much. Even so, if we could replicate this a couple more times this fall, that would be nice. I have no opinion on anything else, really. At least not right now. Too hard to tell about a win over a D2 opponent that, save about four players, was not very good. Those four players were pretty darn good, though.

Purplestorm you are so right. Absolutely gorgeous day on the beautiful NSU campus. Tailgating was so much fun. Had great food and a few beverages. We were able to shake hands and hug the players on the Demon Walk throught the tailgate area. I am amazed at the crowds that come in spite of the record the last number of years. We did some good things in the game and I really believe we have a chance to win several of our remaining games. Having said that I am going to voice my opinion on something that bothers me a lot. 4th and 2 on the 38 yardline of D2 KENTUCKY WESLEYAN and we pooch punt!!! I saw North Dakota State go for it against 8th ranked IOWA on 4th and 2 from the Iowa 48 and out of the I formation ran power off tackle and made it! But we won't do it against KENTUCKY WESLEYAN?? We should have lined up and told them where we were running the ball and imposed our will on them!! We did it again on 4th and 2 from their 7 and tried a field goal that we missed. Our message should be...we are Northwestern State University, you are in our house and we are going to run it right down your throat. Gosh I want that MOJO back. Our players need to feel that MOJO too and I think that sent the wrong message to them as well. Sorry, just my opinion, I will shut up.I do love my DEMONS!!
