We can't blame the Sports Information Department, though. They have to write a story and if the coaches speak coachspeak, well it turns out like this. We have one of the best SID's in the country. Our coaches should learn from his successes. BTW, we are truly snakebit, but it's not from bad luck. It's from being outcoached and outplayed in the little things. Our defense got totally torched ... all night long. Our offense showed up to win a ballgame, sans the two fumbles and QB toss up out of desperation. Those three things only cost us about 14-17 points. No biggie.

Les Miles and Cam Cameron have been fired at LSU. Los Tigres will not find another HC that will go 111-33 or so in 11.3 years. This is where the sport has gone. Winning is no longer enough. You have to win all the time and it has to be pretty ... all the time. This is also the fault of the universities because fans are paying so much money to see their teams play, they expect perfection. Makes me appreciate NSU football more and pull for Jay even more to make it. Les and Cam getting fired is one thing ... they're worth millions. Jay getting fired is another. He's a common guy like the rest of us.

Oh I'm not putting down Doug at all. He's a great guy and I understand his job. You're exactly right that he just has to write what coach T says.. that's more what I'm frustrated about. He never takes responsibility for us getting our butts whooped week in and week out. I just want one quote from him to say "you know, we just got beat tonight. Plain and simple. I'll take full responsibility for not coaching us well enough this week. I'll have to watch the film and figure out what I'm doing wrong and I'll fix it this week." I don't know, maybe I'm asking too much

He's a common guy like the rest of us. I disagree to the extent that he is still not performing his job. Is he a common guy like the rest of us? All of us on here work I presume, no matter what it is we have to perform and if we don't we get fired. That's it. He chose coaching, and he's not getting it done right now. He's 16-23 up to this point. Is anyone willing to argue that is acceptable? I am willing to bet Dr Henderson doesn't think so.. I know what you're trying to say so I'm not trying to hijack your statement to be argumentative. Obviously firing a coach when he is 111-33 to us seems ludicrous, but not so in tigertown. On a side note, I think they'll go after Art Briles. Just my two cents on that situation.

Haha On a more serious note, this article headline seems to be the overall narrative of the program over the last 10 years or so...We're just snakebit, it has nothing to do with coaching its just that we have bad luck. Funny I don't see those kind of articles on the sam houston or mcneese website. Successful programs make their own luck. Just from my brief playing career I know bad shit happens to every team in every game. Some teams deal with it better than others and overcome the bad breaks. Demons16 is right on, saying we're snakebit or the other team had more rest is a way to deflect blame from the fact that we are getting outcoached. Flat out that simple. That's what is so aggravating. The sad part is we will be on here in 3 weeks having the same discussion.

IMO, those write-ups are part of the reason why Stoker was run off...we kept hearing/reading about how the recruiting classes we were bringing were tops in FCS only to not materialize on the field.
