Not looking good so far. Didn't expect us to be down 14-3 to this team. Demons need to turn it around quick.

Demons fall 21-18. Going to be a long year if things don't get significantly better. Not much positives to take from the game. I have no idea what we were doing on the last two series of the game. Not much to say, we just don't look like a good team. On a positive our defense looked solid.

I'll just leave this here. UIW was beaten by nine points, at their place, by the 37th ranked team (Texas A&M -- Kingsville) in D-II last week. Let that soak in. It's more than obvious that we were WOEFULLY unprepared for this game, especially on offense and in the defensive backfield. I'm not calling for anyone's head or laying blame anywhere. It's just not "that" important and those things take care of themselves in due time. The coaches know they must produce in a reasonable time frame. In saying that, it's unfortunate that the NSU football program has not only hit rock bottom, but we've chosen to wallow in it for awhile. It's just a game, yes, but within that form of privileged entertainment tonight was some of the ugliest football I have ever witnessed played in Turpin Stadium. Maybe someone can remind me of more troubled times in year's past ... sans the 0-11 season under Peveto that kicked off this eight years of drudgery.

Honestly, that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen in that stadium. Sadly, I 'm not even mad about it. As you said, things will take care of themselves in due time.
Like everyone here I will support the Demons every game this year no matter what. Would be nice to have just a glimpse at us becoming a threat in the SLC again.
Program seems stuck at the bottom of the pit with no idea of how to get back.

And Dr. Henderson should implement a rule that we promote no more hype videos until we win eight games. I'm not kidding. Fans are tired of this. Sure, we love our team; our alma mater, etc., but this has gotten too old. By the end of this year, we'll be somewhere like 33 wins and 56 losses, or worse, over eight seasons. I mean, the purple seats are beautiful, the white uniforms are cool, but all that means nothing unless we start winning some games. I'd rather have outdated uniforms and discolored seating and win games than the opposite and lose three out of four games.

I can agree to that. I do like the way the purple seats look though.
Hope we can turn it around and have a good year. Long long ways to go.

Besides our play-calling being terrible, the turnovers being nothing short of untimely, the secondary looking like a sieve, the coaching not-so-good, and having the inability to score touchdowns, I'd say we looked...well....bad. I've been in seat 16 since 1980 and this was one of the worst ones yet.

I wasn't at the game, but judging from the radio call we got out-schemed, out-smarted, and out-adjusted. Generally speaking, out-coached. I have tremendous pride in this university and will till the day I die, but this is ridiculous. Those boys on that team deserve so much more than this. Y'all cannot convince me that we do not have the talent to compete at the top of the conference. So if we have the talent, then where do we look to next?
Entering the 4th year on a contract and losing a home-opener for the third consecutive year, to Incarnate Word no less, is not exactly what I would call progression. I am not claiming to have the answer in any way, I am just fed up with the mediocrity. It has gotten to the point where some players are beginning to get used to it and that, my friends, is not where a program wants to be. A direct quote from a current player is "dudes just don't care anymore man. Everybody playing for the wrong reasons." Spin it any way you want but that reflects back to the ole ball coach.
Maybe things can turn it around. I don't believe in Coach T, but maybe he can turn the ship around. A lot of games left to be played so I will continue to wear my purple and support my Demons in the heart of Bearkat country. I'm a Demon through and through but I'm tired of the losing and I'm tired of the excuses.

I think our players, fans, students, alumni, and all supporters deserve better than this.
