Need to win the series today against UNO. I really like this Demon team but we do have to take care of business. Aside from Southeastern I don't see any team that I would consider definitively better than us (and we are capable of knocking off SLU in the tourney if need be). If we play well there is a good chance to win 10 game in the next few weeks and put ourselves into great position headed to the final stretch.

We stink...softball and baseball both. This season just shows just how untrustworthy pre-season polls are...not worth the paper they're printed on.
Not sure what is the deal but we have definitely NOT lived up to expectations. That seems to be the theme for practically every sport we field.

For whatever reason it appears that we are having trouble getting over that mythical "hump".
I do like that baseball is growing and we have some solid freshman coming in next year but I would like to see us make a run.

Burroughs has put together, on paper, some good recruiting classes...so has softball. Both are having "snake-bit" seasons.

Went to the softball games this weekend. We could have easily won 2/3 of the games. Nicholls has a solid team and have a big advantage in that they have a HUGE ball park and had the game been at Demons park we would have had 3-4 home runs that fell on the warning track at Nicholls.
Nicholls got nearly every close call and we just couldn't overcome it.

With the amount of errors and the scoring disparity, it would appear that the girls have "cashed out" for the year.

They Really played with a lot of intensity in the first two games but came out very flat in the 3rd and took them about an inning or 2 to really get going. First inning was bad and they definitely didn't seem to be into the game. They did bounce back and fought pretty hard the rest of the way though.
