Lady Demons off to a solid 4-1 start. Split with Depaul and knocked off Ok State, Texas State and Ab Christian.
Program is looking really good right now and approaching (and passing) the levels we are at around 2000-2001. Really exciting time for the softball program and should definitely be in contention for postseason play.

Softball had an AMAZING opening weekend...I think they are on a mission after a 30+ win season only to lose to a UCA team that just happened to get hot for three games in the tournament.

I agree. They seem very determined to make a run this year.

The only sobering news to the great start is the health of last year's Pitcher of the Year, sophomore Mikayla Brown. She suffered a knee injury in her second start in the tournament after pitching great in the first start and the beginning of her second start. Let's just hope it isn't anything serious...

I was gonna ask about that. I saw the picture on Twitter of her on crutches...fingers crossed it's minor. God knows we've already had one season ending injury to a pivotal NSU Demon this year and we don't need another.

I'm sure most of you heard that our #1 pitcher, sophomore, and 2015 Player of the Year Mikayla Brown is gone for the season due to an injury in the third game of the season.
We've sure had some shitty luck this year with some top players with Mikayla and Jalan...not only are they both players that change the game but change the SEASON.
