First of all, I owe this team and the coaches an apology. I totally underestimated the desire the players and staff would have during a season of high expectations before game one and unknowns after game one -- speaking of losing Jalan West to injury. I guess I was guilty of giving up more than them due to losing our star player, fully knowing how good we could have been with him on the floor. So, the coaches have tweaked and adjusted and the young guys have bought in and we have now won three games in a row, we're playing defense again, and at least ten players contributed to the scoring tonight, which means we're getting clutch bench play, as well. And it's never the same player because tonight it was Kissoonlal and Metoyer and last game it was Joseph and Killian. Now, do I think we'll win out? No, but we could win 10-12 games on the season. Maybe a couple more than that if we can get into the tourney. So, I'll be the first one to say I was wrong about this team ... gladly. Also, how about the shooting war between UCA's dynamic guard, Howard, and Woodley? How about D. Hall getting into the flow in taking Jalan's place? How about Kissoonlal hitting clutch three's down the stretch? BTW, I researched that surname and it's often found in South Africa, Mauritius and the Caribbean and even has an East Indian connection. I thought it was Ethiopian. So, my bad there, too. We'll see what happens from here as the games get much tougher than Nicholls, SLU and UCA. No disrespect intended to these universities as they are really good at other sports.
