Well, we will sorely miss Jalan and I hope he gets a medical redshirt for next year, but if he forgoes that opportunity to go pro, I would not blame him. The good news is we have had three good recruiting classes in a row and the future of NSU basketball is quite solid with these young players:
Reggie Kissonlal -- 6'11" -- Fr
Ishmael Lane -- 6'7" -- Fr
Colby Koontz -- 6'10" -- Fr
Tanner Hamilton -- 6'9" -- Incoming 2016
Devonte Hall -- 6-2" -- So
Josh Boyd -- 6'0" -- Incoming 2016
Malik Metoyer -- 6'6" -- Fr
Tyree Thompson -- 6'4" -- Incoming 2016
Cody Cambre -- 6'3" -- Fr
Bailey Walker -- 5'11" -- Fr
Stan Mays -- 6'2" -- Jr (Texas Tech transfer who is redshirting and will have two years left)
There are a couple others who are walk-on's. Now, it will be a long time, if ever, we find a combo like Jalan West and Zeek Woodley, but we have to try to have a good year anyway. Tajon Welcome, Travon Joseph, Sabri Thompson, Matt Jillian, Levi Yancy, along w the dynamo and future NBA player, Woodley, are capable. They just have to adjust to losing Jalan. So, all is not bad in basketball ... even though it feels like it at the moment. Finally, IF Jalan does come back, we could be sick, off-the-charts good next year.
