Is anyone planning on attending? My wife and I actually don't have a marching contest this weekend but, given how the season is going, decided to stay home and take our girls to a movie.
Lamar looks to come in and spoil the 2015 homecoming with Harrington running all over Turpin Stadium putting up insane numbers on our "defense".
This one will be over by halftime! Make sure you stick around for the Spirit of Northwestern's halftime performance before leaving the game. They will be playing some Blood, Sweat and Tears featuring Boston Brass!

I never planned on going to this particular game long before the season started. I did give my tickets to a friend who is taking other friends to the game with him, though. I expect a paltry to less-than-average crowd because of being 0-5 and competing with LSU's biggest game of the year to date. Not moving this game up to a 1pm or 2pm start might be a regretful decision by late this evening. Why? When elephants dance, ants take a hell of a beating. Even if we were 5-0, we'd lose some fans to the bigger game. It's just the way it is. I'm afraid we're looking at 5-7k today, though. Even so, I do hope we've figured some things out the past two weeks and show vast improvement against a very tough team. If not, the attendance for the last two games will be less than 5k each.

OK ... I didn't think this football game would EVER end. So much I want to say, but I am just glad we won. We held Lamar to 8 points below their average ... barely. I am VERY proud of Stephen Rivers for coming in and managing the offense well. The defense played much better, save the long run by their dynamo RB and needless penalties, but still a lot of room for improvement. Our running game was equally stellar. If we can build on this and I mean "IF," we can become a very good football team by year's end. How many will we win? I don't know and it doesn't matter. I just want to see us improve as we can!!! Thank you players and coaches. Lamar was a good team and you beat them head-to-head. Very nice job.

They sure proved me wrong! That was $7 well spent to watch the video feed of the game. Gotta keep our cool and not get lured into personal foul calls because that's exactly what Lamar was doing the entire game.
1-5!!!!

I don't think this team has begun to tap into its full potential. Tonight was a great start. But, next week in Lake Charles will be a HUGE challenge. We have NOTHING to lose, either. We should play like it fully knowing that one day that "perpetually losing to McNeese worm" is going to turn.

They should go into Lake Charles with absolutely nothing to lose.

Very nice win. Next week we should just go out and have fun, all the pressure is on McNeese.

Purplestorm....paper said there were over 9,000 fans. Just round it off and say 10 thousand folks enjoyed a good game. Now, let's keep it going. The defensive TD was awesome. The top running back in the conference fumbled and we were on top of it. They played the new D very well. Proud for Rivers, too. Great victory for the team and coaches.

I'm elated for this team and for the fact we had 9k plus at the game. I will readily admit I was a bit out of line w my disappointment in the first five games. But, it's only because I care. Moving forward!!!
