That reminds me of an old guy I know here in the Baton Rouge area who once told me ... "Son, I'd rather pull for the PLO than I would Ole Miss."

SFA loses, but a valiant effort against the second-best team in the Pac-12. SFA is THE plumbline in SLC Men's Basketball until someone dethrones them. I wonder who is up for the challenge?

Well not ANY southland team….I think I'd pull for Russia over Sam houston. We all have at least one team that we can't stand! lol

The most frustrating thing about that game is that with the talent we have on the team it is amazing that we got blown out that badly at home.
Still, I expect Coach Mac to do some significant work with our defensive approach going into next season.

I feel the same way...as happy as I was that we made a post-season tournament, I'm even more happy that this season is done with. It has been nothing short of frustrating, from a fan perspective...I can only imagine how frustrating it was for the coaches.
The #1 problem to be fixed for next season is defense..."fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me". If defense is not fixed, IMO, as glaring as a problem as it was this year, next year is on the coaches.
#2. Size...we have GOT to have at least one big man. Rebounding and being able to get some paint points when the outside shots weren't falling was the other problem. Although SFA was an undersized (not as undersized as us) they were able to out hustle and work to get rebounds.
I look for SFA to still be the favorite next year...they'll be VERY senior laden next year with Pinkney, Walkup, Giffrard (sp?), Floyd, Johnson (all 5 of them had big games against the Demons)...they've also snagged a few three star recruits that will most likely be playing next year. IMO, they have one more year of being pretty damn good before you see them take a hit...probably one more year of Underwood, too.
