The Demons will host UT-Martin (18-12). UTM finished a very distant second to Murray State in the West Division of their league. Looking at their schedule and who they beat and lost to this is going to be a VERY tough game. Attachments:

At this stage of the season, everyone is tough. It will take our best effort AND stellar defense to win it.

Good tournament for NSU and will give us some games against some quality opponents. This is a "mid-major" only tournament so it should be fun. Would like us to host a championship game, not going to be easy.

UT Martin on freaking fire from three point land...and we're cold from everywhere. Someone tell Marvin Frazier he has no business shooting three pointers...this one might get ugly.

5 threes by UTM...this is gonna be another game where the other team just can't miss, no matter how many hands are in their face.

Demons FINALLY heated up...both teams shooting a crap load of threes! Demons down only 2 after being down by as much as 13.

Wow...we absolutely cannot stand prosperity...cut it to 1 and we just refuse to play defense...down by 10, just like that.

There isn't a damn person at this game and after the 2nd lazy inbounds steal I turned that shit off...

Our defense is terrible. We're mailing this in. Be glad when this season is over. And that will be in about an hour or less.

Glad the season is over to be honest, pretty frustrating year.
Seems like that was the 5th or 6th time an opposing team has had a career shooting night against us…No team can shoot 16-28 on 3s vs a good defense, but we've allowed that kind of percentage several times. I love the up and down offense and the pace we play at, but you have to play some defense and in basketball, its mostly effort. Just my two cents.

All in all, a decent year. We improved two games over last year's win total, which is a positive to build on. If we look at Coach Mike's track record, we make the NCAA's about every six years. I do think we'll be back before 2018, however. Now, with that being said, we figured out this year that this team, when motivated, can flat-out score and is extremely athletic. Unfortunately, we also found out we're a couple big guy's short of being a complete team and a two-guard dynamo tandem does not make a "team." We also found out that our defense was unacceptably bad this year. No other way to describe it. Let's be thankful we didn't luck up and win the SLC tourney because we would have been pulverized by a 1 seed on national TV. Instead, we got embarrassed by a talented peer at home in a game buried among more "important" games. We have 80-85 percent of our team back next year and we're only losing about 10 points in scoring in Frazier, Deji and King. I would think Yancy, Koontz and Lane can match and surpass that scoring. What we will need from them is better rebounding and much, much better defense from the whole team. Otherwise, we'll see a similar year, maybe a win or two more, but a similar lackluster, disappointing ending to "what could have been." I played our Iowa win from nine years ago for a fellow employee. I still got chills from it and even had a little mist of pride build up in my eyes knowing how good we "can" be. But, make no mistake about it, our current team couldn't hold that team's jock when it comes to defense. They were tenacious and until this team decides to play somewhere in the same arena of defense like that team, we'll be replaying the Iowa shot from here on out. With all this being said, I believe in Coach Mike and company to fix this "lack of defense" and get back on track. But, finally, let's remember, our down years from 2000 to 2006 and 2006 to 2012 were much worse than these past two. So, with that being said, and even as frustrated as I am over tonight's performance, the future is bright for NSU basketball. We, especially me, just need to be patient. Fork'em.

Also DTNSU may hate me for saying this but i'm really pulling for the Lumberjacks tonight, they're hanging tough with Utah.

I am watching them and pulling for the Lumberjacks right now. As I would be for any Southland team.
