HUGE series sweep on the road to start conference play for the Demons. Starting pitching was again in great form and helped put us in position to win all three games. Adam Oller was lights out Friday night going the full 9 IP giving up only 1 earned run with 6 K's & no walks. Their guy threw a great game, but the Demons were able to get some more clutch timely hits to pull away and win. Stovall 6ip, Duvic 1ip, and Smith 2ip combined to give up only 1 run in game 3.
Chase Hymel has been a force out of the bullpen this season; 14 2/3 IP, 1 ER (0.61 ERA) with 7 appearances. He got the save in game 2, pitching 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Josh Oller.
Several Demon hitters had multi hit & RBI games. Daughdrill leads the team in batting (.339) and has reached base safely in all but 1 game.
Unfortunately, weather doesn't look good for hosting LA Tech Tuesday night. Another big SLC series this weekend when Sam Houston comes to town. Sam swept UNO last weekend. UCA was the only other team to sweep, taking all 3 at SFA.
