Thibodaux. Something tells me we won't play as bad as we did in the first-half tonight. Will we win? Who knows? The moment I want to give up on us, we hit winning shots from half-court.

Hopefully both teams can get the win today...the women REALLY need it. UCA plays McNeese...two other teams we're tied with, and ironically we both split with. A loss by the Lady Demons would put us as the 7th seed.
The men are going to finish 4th place regardless of what happens today...but a loss would sure hurt going into the SLC tournament. As the no. 4 seed we'll play the winner of the 5/8 game, more than likely Lamar vs. nicholls/UNO.

Lady Demons royally f-cked that up...our lack of size has doomed us once again. UNO had so many easy paint points and put backs on misses it's ridiculous. Had the lead for 32 of the 40 minutes in the game.

End the year with a worse record than last year.

I just can't figure this team out...we are so freaking inconsistent. Had a 17 point lead and then UNO goes on a 13-0 run and we can't for a basket for 4 minutes. Teams have figured out that all you have to do against us is crowd the paint because we can't rebound for shit.

Looking back on it...that ACU game really hurts now at the end of the season. Losses to SFA (twice) Sam (once) TAMUCC (once) and then ACU (once). ACU ends the year 10-21 and 4-14 in SLC play...

Demons are the No. 4 seed and will (more than likely) play Lamar in the 2nd round of the tournament. Lamar is a MUCH improved team since we played them and gave Sam all they wanted the other night. And will be another team that out rebounds the hell out of us.

ACU game only one we shouldn't have lost. Today was a hard game because it ends the regular season. We seemed unfocused, but was able to handle that hurdle in the end. Lamar will be a tough game, but I think we will play very hard in that one. If we win, we get SFA again. A better season than last year by a but, which is improvement. We'll see what happens in Katy. I think we have a 20- plus win team next year.

I like both teams chances in Katy if they play the way they are capable. The women have got to have people step up offensively.
I'm not as worried about the men's as Coach Mac normally has them playing well come tourney time. Going to be interesting for sure.
On a side note I sincerely hope the tourney moves from Katy one day so that I can realistically go to watch a tourney game and not have to watch our conference championship in a half empty arena.

Watching Sam vs. SFA on ESPN3 right now...good game but the referees, just like in our game Thursday, let SFA foul the SHIT out of the other team under the basket and never call a damn thing...they just let them do it but yet they call ticky tacky stuff away from the paint.

It infuriates me watching SFA play...not because of our loss but because they never make any effing mistakes. Where do they get these effing players?! Do they just do a better job of coaching their players up? We seem to be more concerned with dunks and alley-oops than playing fundamentals.

Don;t know what it is but they have definetely gotten some tremendous players on their team and play within the system nearly perfect.
I've also noticed that the refs pretty much let SFA get away with everything in the paint.

SFA is the SLC plumbline now. It used to be shared amongst NSU, Sam, SLU, Lamar, Nicholls, McNeese, TAMU--CC etc. Who wants to trump them? Who has it in them to dethrone them? Until then, they are the team everyone thinks of when they think of SLC basketball. As long as Brad Underwood is their coach, they will always be in the mix, as well. I think Coach McConathy and company have the wherewithal to dethrone them, but will we? If so, when? SFA proves a dynamic system is far better than dynamic athletes. We have both at NSU, but this year, we have zero inside game, which has cost us and will cost us in Katy, I am afraid. Especially if Frazier is out. We can't win the SLC tourney getting out rebounded by 10-20 a game. Not happening.
