8 of the 27 are transfers, which I'm more than okay with, SLU and Sam have set the precedent with winning with transfers, that seems to be the way to go. Love the size of these kids, and addressed the immediate needs of Lb and D-line. Isaac Warren was a real surprise get for us, a legitimate 3 star recruit according to ESPN and Rivals and gave his verbal to AZ State last summer before flipping to Purdue and somehow signing with us after a visit a few weekends ago, expect him to be an immediate contributor.

Trust Jay ... he knows what he is doing!!! We never know who is going to excel in a recruiting class. Look at Ed Eagan. Came in as a cornerback, now a WR who could play on Sunday's. Look at Jeremy Lane. Came in at 165lbs and zero stars. Has played in two Super Bowl's in three years in the league. Look at Imoan Claiborne. Zero stars and now rated a Top 20 CB in the draft. We just never know how kids will pan out, but this looks like a great class at the outset.

I really have high expectations for this Jaevon Walton kid, his highlight tape is impressive and he is a legitimate FBS prospect. I have no idea what happened at Nebraska but he looks like the real deal and alongside Lyn Clark we could have a very solid and athletic Lb duo.

Skinner is a very intriguing recruit. I'm very excited about him. This is a stellar recruiting class with lots of substance and not a lot of frills, which is always the best kind.

I was able to talk to Coach Thomas a little after the luncheon. He commented on the fact that we are not done yet. He has several FBS transfers who have inquired about transferring in soon. He said there are a couple from Oregon and named several other big schools that I can't recall in this moment. It sounds like they are taking notice to what we have done the last two seasons and the personnel pipeline is starting to open. What I appreciated most was that Coach T said he would have to carefully consider these players in order to see if they will fit in our program. I know that just because someone has all the hype, it doesn't mean they are worth the fight of trying to keep them in your program. I remember all the chaos that ensued from the Harris incident. Team unity and character are in many cases more important than hyped abilities. I like Coach T's approach. It shows class and wisdom. This should be a great Spring and even better Fall in Demonland.

Nothing would put a smile on my face more than beating ULL...the Spirit of Northwestern has already put that game on their calendar, too.
