Well, that should help our defensive statistics...although Nicholls is just not very good but still a good defensive showing by NSU.
On paper it will look like we didn't score like we normally do but with about 10:00 left we took the foot off the gas. The Demons could have scored 100+ had they wanted to.
On to SLU...who I was hoping would get the home field advantage and take down Corpus Christi but it looks like the Islanders will pull away in the 2nd half.

Nice win. Hope we get on a roll. SLU, UNO and McNeese will all be tough games on the road. And we know how good SFA is no matter where you play them. We have a chance, still, at a 20 win season. We shall see if it happens. We won 17 games last year. It would be nice to best that effort with 85 percent of the team coming back and a stellar recruiting class coming in for next season.

And as usually we play like dog shite down in the swamp...our silly turnovers are killing us currently. 28-27 NSU

Pretty typical of games this season...nicholls only averages 4 three pointers in a game and they have 6 or 7 already. Only avg 27%...shooting almost 50% from three. 33-33 at the half...every time we get a little lead we have unforced TO's and nicholls gets a lucky three.

It is not a coincidence other teams shoot the heck out of three's against us. Our defense has been and still is sub par to that of championship caliber teams. We're rich in athleticism, though. Not having Marvin Frazier hurts, too. He must be done for the year. If that is the case, so are we.

Oh, absolutely! It is no coincidence at all that other teams have their best night from behind the three point line...it's also no coincidence that other teams shoot better and score higher than their average against us.
And we keep jacking up threes...

Last week Coach McConathy mentioned hoping to have Frazier back in 7-10 days...I think they'd rather have him for the SLC tournament than rush it and him get a re-injury.

We'ved missed all 11 shots in the 2nd half...unbelievable.

I can't remember a team since I was a student and have graduated that we won comfortably down at Stopher gym...even on our "The Shot" team...we had to pull that one out right in the last minute of the game.

Travon Joseph seems to be coming into his game, which is encouraging. We need consistent contributors other than West, Woodley and Frazier. We have so much potential on this team.

You're very right...we need more contributors. West and Woodley aren't gonna score big every game.

Seems like we decided to play defense after that rough 2nd-half start. Good to see.

Nice win, especially after a rough start.

It seems our starting five is definitely West, Thompson, Woodley, Joseph and Frazier. Second wave is Dobbinson, Hall, Welcome, Killian and King. Add in a dose of Deji and Kissoonlal and we might just have a chance in Katy. And we only lose Frazier, King and Deji this year. Next year "could" be special. If we play defense.
