Patrick, Thank you for clearing that up because from a layman's basketball acumen, three hours away, it just seems like we're giving up easy baskets. Your explanation helps. I hope the rebounding issues improve with the return of King and Deji. Frazier and Woodley can't do it all on the boards. I do know this ... IF our defense improves and we get better rebounding, we'll be to deal with from here on out. I'm sure you can understand our frustration, though. We all know we're very talented and might have the best "two-guard" tandem in the mid-majors in West and Woodley. Forgive us for high expectations. Ha! Later.

I will disagree with your assessment of this game. Demons went to the 3-2 zone and held Lamar to just 40% shooting and just 9-of-32 from three. That is great defense. The reason Lamar was even in the game was offensive rebounding, which we know is a major issue for NSU. But if the Demons hold their opponents to 40% shooting in every game the rest of the way, you'd be hard pressed to say we would lose more than 1 or 2 of them. Timely move to the zone and let's hope that it leads to the same outcome down the stretch of last year when NSU started to slow teams down. Did I coach McConathy say that not only did Deji get shorted games this season but the NCAA has also taken away his senior season?!?! And that we're appealing it?

Yes, they took away his senior season. And yes, they will be appealing it again after the season

That's messed up. What are the circumstances?

Something to do w how his high school years in England are equated to "prep" school time here, I think. I may be off on this, but I am in the ballpark. No matter, he should have one more year available to him.

Does the NCAA know where we rank on a global scale when it comes to high school education? I'm sure he's fine.
