All I can say is I went from ouch in giving up 52 in one half to UCA to "wow" in scoring 72 in one-half. If this team can bottle up what they did in the second-half tonight and the second-half at Auburn, we won't lose again until we get into March Madness. That would mean beating ORU, winning two games in Katy, advancing to a play-in game and then onto challenging a one seed. We'd be 19-13 at that point. Not too terribly far off from where we thought we would be. We'll see how it goes. I do think these men -- players and coaches -- have done a heck of a job turning the season around, though.

Hypothetically if we were to win saturday vs ORU, we would play the winner of (5)ORU and (8)McNeese. Then winning that would give us another shot at the 1 seed SFA in the semifinals.
Are the new members eligible for the conference tourney? if so the 8 seed would be different.

Excellent win for the ladies. They seem to be headed up the ladder again. Way up. Patrick, you're right. Even so, the way this team played last night is indicative of what it's capable of on any given night. The question is, can we string together wins against ORU (possibly twice), SFA and Sam or Corpus Christi ... then a play-in game? There's not a weak team in the bunch. That would be five HARD fought games that would require the best we have on offense and defense. But, we have the tools to do it. The good thing is, with West, Woodley, Frazier, King, Joseph and Thompson are all coming back, we'll have a good core of players for next year. Plus, it helps to have Adams, Adams, Killian, LaBato, Harris and Washington as experienced subs, too. Add in Kissoonlal, Williams and whomever else we recruit and things could be fun in Natchitoches for awhile on the hardwood.

New SLC members are not eligible for the tourney.
Right now, the seeding in Katy looks like this:
1. SFA 2. Corpus Christi 3. Sam 4. NSU 5. ORU 6. Nicholls 7. McNeese 8. SLU
ORU could gain 4th with a win over us or they could slip to 6th with a loss. The worse we will do is 5th. 1 gets two byes. 4 gets one bye and plays the winner of 5 and 8. 2 gets two byes, 3 gets one bye and plays the winner of 6 and 7. So, in essence, we could play ORU two games in a row, which is very dangerous because it's hard to beat a team three times in one year ... if we beat them tomorrow. If this stays the same, you'd think ORU would slip by SLU and Nicholls would slip by McNeese. This would put ORU playing us with the winner getting SFA. It would put Nicholls playing Sam, with the winner getting Corpus Christi. If we want SFA again, we have to handle our business in the next two games. None of it will be easy.

Houston Baptist is eligible. Incarnate Word and Abilene Christian are not. UNO is ineligible due to APR sanctions.
