Glad we won, but we gave up 47 points to an NAIA team in one half. That is not good. Maybe we were just going through the motions and doing what we had to do to win, but based on our performances thus far this year, something is missing. Also, our lack of height inside is hurting us badly. We're going to have to shoot very well to have a decent season. Is it in us? Yes, but we better tighten up quick because the schedule gets much tougher Sunday forward.

I agree, wasn't too concerned after that A&M blowout but the two close NAIA games have raised my concern for this season. Hopefully all the kinks get worked out, we'll see.

Yea, I understand "starting slow" being our yearly mantra for men's basketball but (no disrespect to LSUA) that game should not have been that close.
We'll never garner any kind of attention the way SFA or LaTech does at the beginning and middle of the season if we wait until the last 10 games of the season to start playing some defense (like last year).
And before anyone says "all that matters is getting to the NCAA tournament"...to a degree I concur. HOWEVER, the recruiting avenues would sure open up a little more if you're consistently ranked in mid major polls and upsetting larger programs that, assuming you get a bid, will lead to an even lower seed in the tourney.
