Lady Demons with a nice win over LA Tech tonight 69-57.
We were way more agreesive than the Lady Techsters. Controlled the game and were never in any real troube tonight. Setting up for a very good season this year as the same Tech team defeated SFA.
Guess they won't visit Prather for another 21 years now.
Best part of this is that we have now knocked off their two best programs this year.

Talk on the LaTech board is that we could get the trifecta this season with Football, Women's basketball already winning. The interesting part is that they said "If NSU UPSETS the Dawgs later this season..."
Come on, at the mid major level are there really THAT many upsets? If we win in men's basketball I'm not so sure anyone would consider it an upset out side of Ruston, La.

Not to damped your spirits at all Track, but MBB is clearly their best program of the last few years, with football now gaining traction and nipping on their heels. Women's hoops at Tech have fallen a long, long way. And if NSU beats Tech in MBB, it certainly would not be an upset. That series has split evenly with the home team winning every game so far.

Great radio call again as always, sounded good down here in South Louisiana.
I would agree that men's basketball is their top sport right now. The Lady Techster's used to be their crowning jewel. I find Tech hires people based upon their name as opposed to how good they actually are at coaching. Not saying Summit is a bad coach, just a random observation.
It does feel good because the Tech fans I do know would conceed that we could beat them in men's bball but were always very sure that we could never compete with them in football or Women's basketball, even with them being down.
I wouldnt consider it an upset to beat the men's team but we will need a HugE effort from our guys.

I'm honestly very surprised that White didn't bolt after last season for Tennessee or Auburn. I think the only reason he stayed was because of what he has coming back this season and most likely their best chance to get to the NCAA tournament in 30 years.

I was curious so I looked up the answer. The last, and ONLY, time the Lady Demons beat the Lady Techsters was in 1975 by the score of 76-56...our first season as an intercollegiate sport. There were a few close games after that for maybe a season or two but it wasn't shortly after that that LTU started to evolve into the dominant program they were through the 80s and 90s.
