Welcome aboard! Things have died a bit here in the dog days of summer but ready to talk football. Aug 28 can't get here soon enough!

I agree! I think the expectations are as high as they've been in several years and feel confident the quality on the field will be better than that. The defense really could be the best in the conference and if everything works out up-front offensively, I expect us to put up a lot of points.

I'm quite excited for this season. I think we are going to prove a lot of people wrong this year and be in the hunt for a SLC title this year. I think this could be the best team we have had since 2001.

I read the other day that SFA landed the 2013 BIG 12 defensive player of the year from TCU after an altercation with his gf. I then read yesterday that he got a one year suspension which means he won't be playing for the Lumberjacks! Fork'em!

SFa probably dodged a bullet there, that kid is trouble.

Hearing great things from fall camp. Freshmen class is really showing out, and the Qb depth is really encouraging. Transitioning into different coordinators seems to be going smoother than I thought it would and the players brought in this spring will impact right away.

I like the fact that we are getting some Bear sightings at QB. Great kid and a really good athlete. Reminds me a lot of Nall.

No doubt he is going to be a stud. Nice to know that if Zach gets hurt we have a very solid back up and QB position is set for the next few years.

I too have heard nothing but good about Hazelwood and think he's done great during the last 2 springs & with the game opportunities he's got. I like that if Adkins takes a hit or is knocked out for a few plays or even the rest of a drive, Hazelwood can hop in without having to change rhythm and go conservative. The play calling might not be the exact same for him, but its more than difficult for a back-up QB to come off the bench late in the 3rd quarter and need to covert on a 3rd & 8 for his 1st play. Hazelwood is 1st in a while at that spot that I feel could come in and do it.
You can't talk about Nall without getting me excited though TrackDemon. Comparisons to the 8 year(?) NFL vet is a high compliment. Best single season ever by a Demon? I'd say yes....especially if he wasn't out a game or 2 for injury.

I saw where the McNuggets got an excellent transfer at QB in Daniel Sams. I watched him playing for K-State last year. This guy can run and throw. He moves around the field with ease. Should be a challenge for every team to contain. It could be an exciting game against the Cowgirls.

We just picked up some big time help for containment -- 6'2"-235lb BCS LB and he has four years left. Announcement to come soon, but it's official. I can't give a name until it's made public, though.

Just a rumor, but-----
Go to UL football roster (Not ULL) and look for a LB from Louisiana --- you may have the answer.

At the I-Bowl/Demon Kickoff Luncheon, Coach Thomas was sharing about both Clark and QB transfer Nicholas Fabrizio. He said of Clark, "He is 6'4" 235 and as I watched him in his first practice....the guy can run! He has some legs under him!" That sounds like good news to me. He also said that Fabrizio runs a 4.5 40. They will utilize him in a number of different ways, including a 'shotgun wishbone'. Sounds cool! I think Coach T said that this won't happen until next year. He may also split out wide in the slot and give us another fast receiver. It all sounds good to me. We are going to have a lot of weapons on the field.
