This whole thing is a total screwup, wrapped in a terrible tragedy, and topped off with leadership malpractice. My hope is that University of Louisiana President, Jim Henderson, will engage this and get to the bottom of all this and make decisions for the good of NSU before he leaves the position in January. Whatever happens needs to happen soon. My heart aches for the parents of Ronnie Caldwell but we need to make sure we do our best going forward to help all our NSU students have a great Northwestern experience. Henderson is already making grand plans for his new reign at Tech. The new UL President from Grambling will probably have more to worry about with a new Louisiana Governor and getting into the new office, so I doubt this will be high enough on his list. I’m afraid there are a few dark years ahead for administrators, development, enrollment, and recruiting. Not trying to be a doomsayer, just a realist.

Leadership will likely not change their minds on the season. That would bring even more confusion and make them look totally inept. NCAA should give these kids their playing year back, but I doubt it. NSU will have to totally rebrand after this debacle. Status quo won't cut it. It doesn't matter who is at fault. Public perception is in stone already.

No he has not. The UL board and Governor have a verified mess on their hands.
