We're O-4 and headed to Beaumont. Laird's teams have been better in conference than non-conference. In non-conference games, he is 1-14 with losses to D-II Midwestern State, Alcorn, and Grambling. Whew! Hopefully they can find some footing in these next seven games as the Southland is as weak as it has ever been.

Critical game for NSU. Lamar is terrible. Southland Conference is very weak.

Had our starting QB stayed in Natchitoches and not chose to go ride the pine in Hammond, we would likely be 1-3, at worse, with lots of hope to compete well in the SLC. He may have chosen well for his personal life, but it is pretty clear he didn't choose wisely for his athletic life. I hope he succeeds at SLU, but had he remained at NSU, he would already be succeeding as he would be considered one of the better QBs in the SLC. Now, we still have no team identity, no team leaders, no offensive identity, and an 0-fer record. Is it the coaches or players fault? Doesn't matter. We have been awful for 15 years and that looks to continue. I hope I am proven wrong. Prove us wrong, Brad. Please.

This is the ugliest football I have ever seen at NSU. And thats saying something. It's ugly on a level thats hard to criticize because you don't even know where to start. How does a division 1 football team even get this bad.
