Demons get the W!!
Two-game winning streak! Where’s the excitement? We finally are starting the right QB, and the team is showing some fight.

The excitement is there. A team that I left for dead a couple of weeks ago are showing fight and moxie. We still have some work to do on the defensive side of the ball however a win is a win. Let's keep the momentum as we get ready to face the fighting Jimmy Garoppolo's and Tony Romo's (Eastern Illinois). #ForkEm

I'll be honest, I gave up on following the game at 33-21. I came back a bit later to see the final score and we'd just covered the on-side kick and was heading in to score the final TD. I don't know what to say other than "wow!" I mean, I'll definitely take this over the first three games. I mean, Nicholls isn't very good, so as they were handling us for three quarters, I thought it was just more of the same NSU. Maybe not.

If I am willing to call out the coaches and the team when they lose, I also need to give credit where it is due when they win. Impressive. Now, fix the defense, Coach. Also, stop passing on FG's in the red zone. Keep improving and you might have a chance at a winning record. I will be the first one to admit I was wrong if that happens. I would love the opportunity to admit I was wrong. Thanks.

Great effort and super step forward for the team and the coaches. I never doubted the players. It just seems the team is a step behind ready to play like champions. The defense is in need of a major change either in scheme or execution. Not sure which or both. Nothing beats losing like winning. Keep improving like Will Rogers said (google him young pups), "Even if you are on the right track you must keep movinig or you will be hit by the train."

I'm a settin' here drinkin' my coffee thinking "what a weird football season." We couldn't beat a D-3 team the first three games and now we done and won two in a row. I was in the woods all weekend. Nice surprise, I must admit. Now, Lamar and Nicholls State are not doin' very well this year, so we'll know where we stand this coming Saturday up yonder in Illinois. If we don't play better on defense, we might be in a track meet or get whupped, even. That Lafayette quarterback is playin' ball, though. He's got plenty of weapons to throw to. I think a couple them boys at WR might could play on Sunday's. Y'all have a good'un and remember to be grateful for what you got.

It would’ve been very easy to mail it in down 12 with 3 minutes left and it’s apparent to me clement rallied this team and led us to a win. Curious why this kid didn’t start at the beginning of the season. But I am very happy for the kids and I love the way we battled back and stole this game. Snapping the losing streak to Nicholls is a monkey off our back and I think these kids just need some confidence. It’s evident the talent is there but more games are lost than won and we are on the road to figuring out the latter.
Now for a weird game mid season at eastern Illinois.

I'm hopping a plane for St. Louis tomorrow evening. I'll be in Charleston when we tee it up on Saturday. I really hope we can show up and show out a little against the Panthers. Last time we went up there, Laird threw three picks and yet we still won because our defense was good. We do not have the same defense we did back in 1993. Our defense is very susceptible to the deep pass. Let's hope and pray Clement throws three TD bombs and we win. If our defensive secondary is ready, this could be a good, competitive game.

At the end of the Yugoslav wars -- Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo -- in the 1990's and early 2000's, many Bosnians, Croatians, and Serbians fled the fighting and moved to safer places in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Several groups of Bosnians moved to St. Louis and created a Balkan ethnic enclave there. There are several really good Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian restaurants in the area. Treat yourself. The food is amazing and inexpensive.
