Congrats on the Win against HBU.
The Wildcats are looking foreword to hosting the Demons on Saturday in Abilene Town. NSU’s Eppley and ACU’s Anthony are virtually even in passing yards per game. Should make for an entertaining game.

Looking forward to the game as well. I’m bummed I can’t drive out and check out the new stadium. Eppler hasn’t played the past 2 games, we’ve been down to our 3rd string quarterback against UCA and HBU, injury bug has hit us pretty hard.
I’m pretty sure Eppler is playing Saturday though.

Y’all have beaten us pretty regularly even in years when we were picked to beat you. We are certainly not looking ahead to our game next week with Sam Houston.
It will be interesting to see how we perform coming off a bye week. We had some momentum going before the break. A close loss to McNeese and w’s over Nicholls at home and SLU on the road. Hopefully that continues......
Look for us to bring a balanced attack. We have some depth at running back and will probably try to establish the run and then pass on y’all. Billy McCrary and Tracy James are our leading rushers and Josh Fink is our leading receiver but we spread the ball around a good bit. On D, we have been vulnerable to big plays but have played pretty solid defense except for occasional lapses.

I was just giving you a hard time because I kinda chuckled because someone on the ACU board described our game as a warm-up. Granted, Sam is a much better team than us but in the W/L column NSU and ACU are pretty close.

I’m at the point where I can’t blame anyone for thinking that way. It’s up to us to end that narrative and elevate our program to where we aren’t looked over to bigger games. If I were a ACU fam I would probably be thinking the same. Hopefully that changes in the coming years.

We sure don’t have the luxury or the track record to play “warm up” games. Besides, the Demons have caused us great disappointment many times since moving to D1.
I think the SLC is evolving to a much more competitive league. Especially given the way Lamar, UIW, NWST and ACU are playing. All new coaches within the last 2 years, BTW.
I’m looking forward to the game this afternoon. The West Texas wind is howling this morning. Hopefully it will die down as the afternoon progresses.
