I actually made the trek over and went to the game last night. It was tough to watch but I want to credit Nicholls for what they are building and how impressive they looked. Just to prove how inept we are at making game time adjustments we had 197 yards of offense at halftime. Not bad right? It was tied at 14. At the end of the third quarter we had 205 yards of offense. Thats seven yards in the third quarter. We ended the game with 255 yards. So in the second half we had roughly 60 yards. Thats getting woefully outcoached. Nicholls ran the RPO to perfection and their freshmen qb is going to be an absolute terror in the southland for years to come. We had no idea what play to call and Haack looked god awful. Im just praying that Keeler has some mercy and doesn't hang one hundo on us in two weeks because i bet they could if they wanted to.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Jay is under contract through next season and we are under no position to buy out the remaining year. We will have to wait this out through next season unless he does the right thing and resigns. Or someone with some really deep pockets steps up and funds his buyout. It sucks but thats our reality, these coaches are going to run this program even further into the ground before we can do something about it. Kick a demon while he's down why don't you.............good lord that's depressing. Can we at least get a new AD if we have to endure one more season of this, a 2 for 1 deal?

Hi guys,
Former demon here and I can agree with every post since the season has started.
As a university you would think the administration would grow tired of fielding a program that bounces between mediocrity and being the laughing stock of the conference, even the state for that matter.

Yea its a bummer, but at least when the season ends and you wonder why he's still there you'll know the reason.

This season has been painful but worse than the losses for me is the silliness in the end zone and the PFs away from the play. OI watched carefully and did not see any coaches exercising "behavior modification" techniques. Jay and the rest of the staff are coaches and this must be killing them. I wonder if they are just ready for this to end and try to re-group for next year.

If it was killing them, they'd do something about it. Packing it in and waiting to regroup for next year is about the sorriest thing they could do. They just don't care. Jay comes off as a "players coach" cause he's all about making sure our guys are "fresh" for the end of the year. Then explain to me how we have "31" guys injured and more than that "playing with nicks and bumps". How about you sack the fck up and make these young men work and toughen them up so we can kick ass on the football field instead of getting our asses handed to us week in and week out.
Oh wait, I forgot.. Jay led us to victory over la tech 2 years ago. My apologies guys.. shouldn't have come at him like that. Give me a f'ing break

"As coaches, we can't let that happen. We have to get everybody to understand to play the game right. Whether it's turning the ball over, getting critical penalties, lining up wrong, not carrying out an assignment, the little things are making all the difference." Thomas said.
It's the 9th game of the season. These things have happend during every game. Well coached teams have stopped these mistakes by now.

I wouldn't know what's different between today and when the program experienced a brief uptrend a couple of years ago, but would it be fair to say that having 31 guys injured is a direct reflection of preparation during the week and in the off-season?
