Can we beat Sam at their place? I can promise you that their fans have ZERO respect for us, even though we beat them last year. I sure hope we can use that fact as motivation to go to Huntsville believing we can win.

We were better last year, too. Our defense will need a good to great game and our offense will have to continue improving. We can score on them, no doubt, but can we keep them from scoring more on us? They're still pretty darn good, they will be at home and they are pretty sore, figuratively speaking, from losing to McNeese last weekend. I expect a good game with lots of points being scored.

Going to be a really tough game. I do think we can definitely beat them but our defense will definitely need to step up. Really impressed with Rivers the last two weeks.

Hell I would settle for just being somewhat competitive. This is horrific.

Offense is doing okay, I just can't get over how easy it is for sam to move the ball. 387 yards in one half is atrocious and I don't care the excuse is this time . Credit to sam though, clearly more talented and out scheming the hell out of whoever is calling plays on defense.

We just gave up 700 yards of offense to a conference peer who was wholly challenged by D2 team and lost to Lamar. Our defense has been a complete dumpster fire all year. BTW, remember today ... and that cocky a$$ Sam HC running the score up on us. Remember it ... and let it stew.

Defense was ravaged for 668. There are no words to describe how pathetic that is….It makes me physically sick that our program is at this level after watching all the stellar defenses that NSU used to have.
Hats off to the bearkat football team, defense isn't as good as it used to be but another playoff run is certainly possible.

I don't have a problem with that late score, they were bleeding clock and ran it up the middle, i think they threw it once but still. Our players gave up and let them drive 87 yards.
Ill have to look up the stats but I know for sure but we will finish last in total defense in the conference and maybe the country giving up over 510 a game. let that sink in….what a disastrous season. I guess "next year is the year"….thats what we always hear anyway.

I have nothing against Sam's players. Stellar effort by them and I wish them the best in the playoffs, but their HC is a tool.

Not even counting today's beatdown, Northwestern State ranks 119 out of 123 teams in FCS in total defense. That is without todays game factored in…I guess the days of the purple swarm defense are long long gone.

We have allowed a RB in almost every game to gain 200 yards or more. Our offense is much better than the first game. But, they can't do it alone. Coach Daye has his work cut out for him.

One Step forward and two steps back. Definitely have a lot of work to do to get our defense better for next year.
On the plus side at least we can give the chief a good home.

If our defense plays the way they did today, you can forget the Chief for another year. Unless we just outscore them. SFA's offense is pretty darn good, too. They just don't have a great defense, either.
