Jay Walker did a good job summing up the whole night, see link below. If you don't understand why some of the Cajun fans come off brash, we don't go along and "know our place", check last comment in article. We keep hoping one day the rest of the ULS programs would figure this out and stand up for YOUR program and quit embracing the real enemy. People can scream all they want over the name game when the game that matters is the money game. espn1420.com/musings-from-cajun-field-from-the-birds-nest/

Also, thanks for the moderators that allow visitors to post in this forum without registering. Very nice touch you do not see very often anymore.
Thank you for the compliment. This board was designed to be as friendly as possible. Every original member on here is a mod, we were basically the last of the old delphi forums. Just wanted somewhere that was easy for fans of every school to converse, much like the old boards. It is fun to have fans from other schools stop by and it has been enjoyable reading the thoughts of the Cajun fans this week. Cajun fans are always welcome here.

But you also have to understand that ULL has A LOT more advantages in order to thrive and elevate the university as a whole. Location being #1. No one can deny that.

Being 50 miles from LSUA&M-BR isn't a cakewalk...lol. We're just blessed with a good overall set of men and women that are not only coaches but solid role models. Economy is tanking due to oil drop, but we'll be ok. Appreciate the SON and the halftime show. July was one of those things that "happen elsewhere", especially not in the city just named "the happiest city in America". Thanks again and good luck the rest of the way. God's speed,ZZ

I meant the size of Lafayette. You have a lot more resources to draw from is what I was trying to imply.
Good luck the rest of the season to you guys as well!

Louisiana. I'm not against the Tigers, just not for them. I guess I was scarred for life by the near hostile takeover back in the early '80s, before Dr. Alost came in to 'save the day'. Oh well, it is funny how delusional LSU fans can be about 'the flagship' and all us 'other schools'. I have noticed that the more I wear my purple, white, and orange and don't act like a pompous jerk, LSU fans in our area actually warm to the Demons and somewhat pay attention. On Sunday, I used to just get asked how the Demons did on Saturday, now LSU fans around me are actually paying attention to our score and quoting a few stats from the game! WOW, it's not too late for some people. Truth be told, football is fun, but the way we deal with each other is much more important and significant. This is just a simple example of a few life lessons I have learned along the way: (1) A soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up strife. (2) When pride comes, then comes shame;but with the humble is wisdom. So, I'll try to be a fun-loving fan who doesn't take it all too serious. In the meantime, Go Demons!

Kinchen's a homer (much like Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Shepard Smith, etc.) and that's hard to overcome for some, especially when they played at the university they are promoting. I thought he did well announcing the ULL-NSU football game, all in all, and his apology should put this to bed. We already have a nation full of butt-hurt people over a plethora of superficial issues, so this is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Cajuns fans are solid, have nothing to prove to anyone and should accept his apology and keep on keeping on no matter what is being said. You've got a good thing going and any honest person will admit it. Screw the others who refuse to see it.
