Demons picked to finish 5/6

Pre-season picks seem about what I though they would be. The top 6 teams in conference are really close and should be very competitive. I do believe we will finish higher than 5th, especially if our offense is as good as I think it will be. The season opener against SLU will be huge.

I am counting on them being wrong and I expect us to be fighting for a playoff spot come late October.

Go to Hudl and check out Ron Perry and Shawn Stephens, two new JUCO LBs on our roster. Both players are pretty darn good. Perry is 230lbs and Stephens is 240lbs. Along with Lyn Clark, who is about 230lbs, and Brice Borgerson, who is about 235lbs, we're starting to get bigger at LB, which is good. We now have Myers, Ross, Van Buren and Braxton at Slash; Stephens, Clark, Perry and Borgerson at Middle and Cook, Allen, Merriman and Guidry on the outside. Now, I may have some of those out of place, but the point is we have depth at LB now. Plus, there are some other names on the roster, so you never know if one of them will mature this season or next and contribute.
