We best send someone to Walgreen's for some Goody's if they are hungover because we're about to get 60-70 points dropped on us by a conference opponent. UCA is good, but they're not that good. We're helping them A LOT.

UCA continues the onslaught in the second half with a TD drive after the kickoff. Now 44-21 Bears.

Boys, this is college football and our team is getting a big lesson tonight. Hope they clear up these issues before next weekend because McNeese is coming to town. And SFA beat SLU today, so that game looks very tough now, too. What looked like it could have been an 8 win season now looks more like 6 wins. Hope Coach Lucas burns this game plan, as well. In a nutshell, this is a butt whipping. Hope Claiborne is OK, too. Injuries have taken a toll on us this year.

Bears easily power over Demon defense for another TD, now 51-21. Looks like this one was over some time ago.

Yeah, we are so thin on DL and basically have had our tails handed to us on a platter. Tough loss after a big win. This is an all too common occurrence in college football. This shows us just how tough it is to win week-in and week-out in our conference.

They're going to drop 70 on us tonight. Next week won't be any easier, either. We better figure it out quick. Also, Abilene on the road won't be easy. Nicholls is down, so we "should" win that one at home. And SFA is playing better, so that one is not the win we might have thought it would be early on. As ugly as this has been tonight, this team seems to have a short memory, so we'll see. Just when you think we're getting over the hump, we're not quite over it yet. I figure it will take Jay a full four years to fix all that was broken since 2006. We need patience. Preaching to myself, too.
P.S. For those who were hoping for the playoffs, forget it. Getting stoned like this will put us on the outside looking in ... even at 8-4. We're done. Playing for pride now.

Not making excuses, but I didn't realize we had so many players sick this past week. Plus, with all the injuries, too. Hope Claiborne is OK. Moving forward. McNeese awaits!

Really did the best we could with how injury depleted we were on defense. Simon, Marshall, Claiborne, Albert..just to name a few very crucial defensive starters that were out…We had several walk-ons playing with the 1s on defense. Giving them short fields and turnovers, it was just one of those "Murphy's Law" games. Just can't do much when even the backups are injured. Clairborne had a spleen injury and was taken to the hospital, he'll be okay.

Good to hear that Claiborne is going to be OK. I think our team, all in all, is playing lights out for the season. For the record, my frustration never turns to anger. I've grown up enough to know how to compartmentalize this stuff. It's just a game and life is much more important. Even so, giving up 58 points still sucks. Losing like that hurts attendance, too. Fortunately, the First Church of LSU isn't holding service next Saturday night, so maybe some folks will come out even though we got roughed up tonight. Offense was fine tonight. I like Cody Jones as a wildcat option at QB, too. Moving forward. Hope we rebound next week. It's time we overcome this McNeese curse. Been hanging over our heads way too long. But, it's going to take a whale of an effort to do it. A better one on defense than we had tonight.

We'll be fine, we are still in position to have a good season and build towards next year and the year after. We just have to realize that we don't have the talent and size to "have a bad game" against these top tier conference teams and still win on the road. We would've had to play flawless and catch a ton of breaks with how unbelievably thin we were tonight. Claiborne and SImon are two all conference performers who we just can't play without, those are huge losses.

I understand Deon could be back as soon as next week. What's the word on Imoan? How long is he out?

If Jay Thomas stays our coach long enough, we'll have the size to compete. His Nicholls State teams were huge.
