I can't speak for the football team, but I am fairly motivated for cooler weather. I surely hope we win, but I won't be surprised if we go 0'fer this season. Ain't lookin' good. We'll see what happens, I reckon. Best of luck to everybody. May every player get through this game without injuries and have a lil' fun, too.

[Reality Check]

Winning changes everything. New Kansas football coach Lance Leopold has the Jayhawks at 3-0 this season and their football stadium is sold out for this week's game against Duke for the first time since 2008 or 2009. Kansas has gone through 13 seasons on their backs with a record of 29 wins and 120 losses. They are also on their 7th HC in 13 years. So, NSU isn't alone in trying to fix a football program. We are only on our third HC and our record isn't quite as bad, but I hardly remember us selling out Turpin, even when times were really good. That is a whole other marketing issue. KU is proof programs can be revived, though.

We won! Some cohesion finally with Antonio on the outside was encouraging. Let's hope we can build on the momentum of this game.

I am ecstatic for the Demons. Just one more thing though. Giving up nearly 400 yards still shows a serious area for immediate improvement.

As I stated above, "winning changes everything." You don't have to win them all, but you have to win more than you've been winning over the past 15 years. Clement is a gamer. Need more Javon, Travon, and Scooter. We have a lot of good WRs, TEs, & RBs. Just need the defense to tighten up. If these coaches and players turn it around, all frustrations and pressure will leave. We are only one game off where I thought we would be. Now the team has to go beat someone they shouldn't. I think we all wish them the best.

Down 10-0 and with Lamar at the 1 poised to go up 17-0 would’ve definitely been a time to mail it in. But the coaches and team didn’t. Kudos to them and congrats on the W.

The one glaring weakness on defense has been the secondary. We have moments of brilliance. The issue is not with talent, we have some great athletes in the secondary. The problem is blown coverages. Not sure what to make of that, but the fact is that we mess up lots of coverage calls and leave guys wide open. IF we can clean that up, our defense is a lot more salty.
