I don't know if it is done yet. However, I am guessing that the big time coach is now out of the picture! I still think there should be a DII head coach or DI assistant out there that would be the perfect fit. Anxious to see what happens next! #demoNSUnite

The coach has been hired. But since it hasn't been announced yet, I am keeping my mouth shut on who it is

Had our shot at getting a great coach who would have taken the program further than ever. Blew it.

I did a little digging last night, and I don't know who it is. However, I am hearing that it is a head coach from a junior college! I would like to take a moment and state that this IS NOT what I was talking about. I was thinking of a DII head coach or a DI assistant. I was not thinking of someone with zero NCAA experience. Going from the juco level to the DI level is a HUGE jump. Even if they are one of the best juco coaches in the country. I wish the new coach the best, and I hope he/she finds success as I love all Demons teams. However, this would be an even bigger gamble than I was talking about. To the new coach, welcome to the world of the NCAA and all the compliance issues that go with it that you know nothing about. I hope this doesn't turn into a disaster, but right now I am much more on alumnicouple's side than before. The volleyball team has been such a struggle for years and was finally starting to move in the right direction. I hope it continues, and it doesn't move backwards after this. #demoNSUnite

If true. Wow. Especially in volleyball the junior college level is really weak. Many high school teams can beat junior college teams. And like mentioned no NCAA rules. Who was the big time coach talked about??

I cannot be more happy to be wrong. Apparently, the juco coach was a finalist though (still not sure why), but it looks like we did pretty well with the hiring of a quality DI assistant. Hopefully, he can continue to move our volleyball program forward. Welcome to NSU Coach Kiracofe! nsudemons.com/news/2015/4/7/WVB_0407152910.aspx

They lost six of top nine players from last year plus have only one full-time starter back plus look at the big name schools they've played so far plus they are playing 2-3 true freshmen every match. It's a little early to get On the ledge.

VICtory you need to check your logic. In your 2nd sentence you say NSU usually see's coaches trying to get to the "big time". Unless you have a crystal ball you can't know if a coach will turn down better offers after being successful, regardless if they are moving up or down. Doesn't sound that complicated. Hire the best coach. It's great news that good coaches are considering NSU. Good things are happening across the board. I don't think you need a crystal ball. I believe that you can get a pretty good idea through a thorough interview process. I agree to hire the best coach. I am just saying that the best resume does not always equal the best coach for a school like us. There has to be a reason that someone would be moving "down" and most of the time it is probably not a great one. I don't want to see us just be the rebound place for coaches. I would rather us hire someone on the rise that is interested in long term success at NSU. As I said, I am confident in Mr. Burke and what he does for his hiring practices. I trust that he will do a thorough job, and we will get the best fit for NSU volleyball, and I am glad that he does not just fill positions with the person has the biggest schools on their resume. He has done a great job of finding people on the rise, and I know that he will do the same here. I am beating a dead horse here now, so I will just sit back and wait and see what happens. #demoNSUnite Logic test. Football and Volleyball? Tried to tell you.

This volleyball season is a disaster...much like football. God forbid our university have any sort of consistency.
NSU, where we can't stand prosperity.
