Gritty comeback by the Lady Demons! 71-60! We NEEDED to win with SFA looming...in other news we needed McNeese to lose but they are gonna pull the upset special on 1st place Lamar!

I want NO part of SLU in the conference tournament. BAD match up for us because of our lack of size...they DESTROYED us on the boards and in the paint. Had it not been for our three point shooting that game would have come down to the wire or been a loss. Not to mention the Lions were still probably pissed that we came back and beat them at their place last month.
Happy to get that game done with...whew!

If we're on, I mean really rolling, there are only two teams in this conference that can still beat us and it would take a superb game from them to do so. The problem is, we seem to be off in at least one category every game. So, with that being said, any team could beat us in Katy if we have an off night. All in all, a good year. Could be worse.

Could be a lot worse. Wish the team was this good when I was a student.

That is true...I would like to see what we could do if we put a complete game together.

It has taken almost all season to get big contributions from players other than West, Woodley and Frazier. I mean, Welcome has a couple great nights here, Dobbinson and Hall a couple there, add in a few from Thompson and Joseph and we get to 16 wins. What was encouraging about the SLU game, our 17th win, is several of these contributors had great nights on the same night. We just need to rebound a bit better and play defense longer and we have a shot. In the end and no matter what happens in Katy, Coach Mike and company will have upwards of 60 wins in three seasons and at least one trip to "The Big Dance." Not too shabby, especially given 85 percent of this team returns along w a solid recruiting class. McConathy Ball is alive and well, still.

Guards aside, as we know they can shoot the lights out most games, Frazier, King and Deji are crucial to our success in Katy.

Also, we're going to finish the year third in attendance. Really, we'll be pushing Lamar for second and they sit in the middle of Beaumont, TX, a town about seven to eight times the size of Natchitoches. That's pretty darn impressive.

I know we still have to finish out the season and we're gonna do so in most likely 3rd place...but I am REALLY excited about next year. I would REALLY like to see Jalen and Zeek get to play on the highest stage there is for college basketball...those two will undoubtedly go down as two of the greatest Demons basketball players in NSU history.
