Any time the Islanders miss a shot they get the rebound and put back. Our lack of defense makes it virtually impossible to cut into a lead.

More turnovers. Can't get any loose balls or bounces.
10 threes now...down by freaking 18!

This may be the last game I listen to...tired of listening to teams have their best three point shooting nights against the Demons.

Sloppy play and turnovers by Corpus Christi and the Demons capitalizing and only down 10, despite CC's three point shooting.

Islanders picking up their defense down the stretch...why is that so hard to do for us?

Now we can't get any shots to fall...if it's not one thing it's the other.

Haha I feel you, DT…frustrating for sure, teams just can't miss from 3 against us. Really long road trip to CC, they just didn't have it tonight.

I am going to take a different approach with this year's team. It's obvious we have some issues in rebounding and that doesn't come from a lack of effort, but a lack of height inside. Secondly, our defense has been iffy, but has shown signs of improving. Third, we don't shoot the ball well one out of three or four nights out on the court. That is normal, but when rebounding is such a huge deficiency, it hurts even worse. I no longer expect us to get better and better and challenge for the SLC tourney. I no longer expect us to win upwards of 20 games. So, I am going to enjoy this team for what they do well and look forward to the future. Coach Mike has been to the NCAA tournament three times in fifteen years and I full expect another trip in the next year to three years. It's as good as we can expect on our mid-major level. This also helps me reduce my expectations and enjoy following the team more. We'll be back. I just hope it will be in the next two seasons while we still have West and/or Woodley. They are phenomenal and deserve a trip to the dance.

They are phenomenal and deserve a trip to the dance. We'll finish the year around .500 and be a 6 or 7, possibly even 8 seed. Which is an absolute travesty because West is the best point guard we've had since Keenan Jones and will probably end up being THE best PG we've ever had. And Zeke Woodley is going to be one of the best scorers we've ever had before he graduates. My frustration comes from our defense, or lack thereof, has started to become a trend within the past few seasons. Why is it that SFA and Sam Houston play good defense every year? That was the THIRD game in a row that a team has shot a higher 3-point percentage against the Demons, and not only that, but they scored 10+ points higher than their scoring average. But I think in the end, down the stretch, it will be our lack of a big man/men in the paint that will seal our fate. But we've been without a true "big man" in several seasons.
