I really wish I could go, by and large the Tech fans are good people.
My main hope for this game is for the Demons to show up. I want us to go into the fourth quarter with a realistic chance to win the game. That's all, just for this team to fly around and play like there is no tomorrow.
I remember heading out to TCU a few years back. Almost everyone thought we were going to lose 45-6, 52-10 or worse. Those teams simply refused to allow doubt to creep in and came out ready to give whoever they were facing hell.
That attitude allowed them to shock TCU and play very close against OK State. That's the same attitude we need this team to have.

My honest assessment for today is that we will lose by 24ish. I am always one of the more positive and optimistic fans, but after watching us so far we are not as far along as I thought we would be…Not a knock on Jay I just don't think we have the personnel or the size to compete with the FBS and top tier FCS teams right now. I do believe we will get there eventually, but LB is still a glaring issue, we shuffled around both safety positions right before the start of the season and our corners aside from Claiborne seem to have some coverage deficiencies against speedy receivers. Also we have 5…yes 5 defensive linemen sitting out today because of injuries. Down to walk ons and back ups manning the front. Kenneth Dixon should have a field day.
48-24 Tech.
I'm going to be pretty discouraged if it gets worse than that...

This year's team has surprised me big time -
Hope some of y'all make the trip up north this weekend
Go Dawgs! Dwayne, I gotta call you out...that was a pretty shitty thing to say about our coach. I understand y'all are all pissed that a poor teachers and nurses college won but, come on. Yes, he got fired from Nicholls but it had zero to do with his coaching ability or his integrity. When you're responsible and things happen under your watch, regardless if you're the one that did it, you have to answer for it.

Thomas getting fired at Nicholls was due because Nicholls has one of the worst run athletic departments in the country. Nicholls post-Thomas has been abysmal and looked absolutely horrible against North Texas this past weekend. Thomas is very highly regarded in college coaching circles and we got a definite steal by landing him. I also don't understand the knock on Thomas especially since Tech's coach destroyed a promising South Florida program. On a side note, the Radio call for the game was totally awesome, our announce team was money as always, and no Tech announcers this was not out biggest win, not even close.
